The medical mission started out with the assistance of MAHARLIKA CHARITY FOUNDATION INC. There were hundreds of individuals line up to avail of FREE CONSULTATION. Since then several medical missions have been done.

JHC wishes to continue its medical mission yearly & we are appealing to all kindhearted individuals to help us make this project possible. We seek support from you.

The J HURTADO center felt the need to bring its assistance to 27 barangays in the City of Koronadal by conducting a survey which lasted for 2 months. After the survey, the staff proceeded with orientation to all possible patients with the help of Barangay Health workers. From the data gathered, it was found out that there is an increasing problem as far as cataract, ptyregium, hernia, ear infection, cleft palate & squint. Most of the patients never had the opportunity to get medical assistance due to lack of knowledge & they just resigned themselves that perhaps it is their fate to suffer.

Most of the patients encountered could not even afford to have a constant check up to monitor their sickness. How much more for the cost of operations or to buy medicine. Because of this, the JHC decided to spearhead a Medical Mission to be able to provide assistance to less fortunate individuals in the City of Koronadal.

J Hurtado Center was able to give FREE MEDICAL CHECK UP to more than 500 people & out of that there were more or less 68 patients who availed of the FREE OPERATION. The first venture was a success that the CEO of JHC decided to have another community outreach programme soonest time possible.

Sometime November of 2005 more than 350 patients were qualified for a free check up and screening in the following: CYST, CATARACT, DEAF, HEMORROID, HERNIA, SQUINT, CLEFT LIP & CLEFT PALATE. Out of which, more than 40 patients received full medical assistance from the JHC in cooperation with volunteers from Maharlika Charity Foundation.

The JHC is happy to announce that starting January of 2006, 25 GOITER patients every other month may avail of free assistance through the initiative of its CEO, Hon. Marie Antonina Hurtado.

All patients are required to undergo screening, orientation and briefing in order for them to be prepared of the procedures and policies of the J Hurtado Center.

We appeal to all of you kindhearted individuals to send any financial assistance in order for us to be able to continue reaching out to countless indigents who still needs our attention.
